Sustainable
Media provides quality professional copywriting
to businesses and organizations, both large and small,
who offer products and services that promote sustainable
values.
Letter of
Agreement: Projects do not commence without a
signed Letter of Agreement, receipt of a retainer and
signed acceptance of Terms.
Quotes: Unless
specifically requested by you, all projects are quoted
based on flat and firm rates. The flat rate we
quote you includes all interviews, research and
incidental out-of-pocket expenses incurred by us while working
on your project. Incidental expenses may include
phone, fax, postage, courier charges, etc.
In the unlikely event a chargeable expense becomes
necessary, we will notify you immediately and
renegotiate a new rate at that time. Firm rates
mean what you are quoted is what you will
pay! Unless the scope of your project changes
after work begins, your rate won't change. Period. This
enables you to plan your budget and adjust it
accordingly. It also ensures that if we have to work
longer to finish your project we have to cover
the cost. If your project is open-ended, we offer competitive
hourly rates.
Expiration of Quotes:
All quotes are valid for 90 days from the date
quoted.
Revisions: All
necessary revisions are included in the flat rate quoted
for each project provided they are assigned within 15
days of final client approval and do not include
fundamental changes in the scope of the project.
Cancellation of
Services: Upon written or verbal cancellation,
the client is responsible for payment on any work done
toward the completion of the project based on the
percentage of the project completed. Should the client
cancel the project following completion, the client is responsible
for full payment as per quote of completed
project.
Changes: If
verbal or written changes made by the client after work
has commenced on the project cause a fundamental change
in the scope and nature of the project, the client will
be responsible for payment of all work completed to date
and Sustainable Media will negotiate a new rate with the
client.
Client Approval:
Upon completion of a project, the client is required
to sign a written final approval of the work. Upon this
written acceptance, the client assumes responsibility
for any further processes in which this work is used
(i.e. film output, printing, etc. ) Sustainable Media is
not responsible for errors occurring in this work or
projects related to this work after final written
acceptance by the client. We make every effort to ensure
copy is free from errors and omissions-including
spelling and content- before obtaining your final
approval. Sustainable Media recommends our clients
review all copy carefully before signing final approval
and before committing it to production.
Copyrights: The
copyright for any creative concepts and copy developed
by Sustainable Media shall be automatically transferred
to the client upon full payment of services. Sustainable
Media reserves the right to use examples of the
completed work for the purpose of future publications on
copywriting, educational purposes and then marketing
Sustainable Media's business. Where applicable, the
client will be given any necessary credit for usage of
the project elements.
Invoicing and Payment
Collection: As is standard industry
practice, a 50% retainer is required up front for new
clients and for projects with a flat rate over $700.
Unless otherwise specified, the remaining balance is
invoiced upon final client approval of the project and
is due net 15 days from the invoice date. An
interest rate of 1.5 % is charged on all accounts that
pay later than 30 days from date of invoice. Rush or
Sprint job options are charged 35-70% above normal rates. Should a
project be cancelled or placed on hold for any reason,
the client will be invoiced for work completed to date.
Long term projects are invoiced monthly. Exceptions to
these invoicing and payment terms are possible.
